We bring together extensive nursing experience, mental health knowledge and practical disability support experience to help participants feel understood, respected and well supported.
Behind Amicable Care is a team with more than 20 years of experience across nursing and mental health care, along with extensive knowledge of workplace health and safety and hands-on disability support.
That experience has taught us that good support is rarely about simply completing a task. It is about understanding the person, recognising what they need in that moment and providing the right level of assistance without taking away their independence.
We bring that same thinking into every interaction, whether someone needs everyday support at home, help in the community, nursing care or more complex assistance.
No two participants live the same life, so we do not expect support to look the same either.
We take the time to understand your routines, preferences, strengths and goals, as well as the areas where additional support could make everyday life easier. From there, we work with you to provide assistance that feels practical, respectful and appropriate to your circumstances.
For us, good support also means being accountable. It means communicating clearly, following through on what has been agreed and treating every participant with the same respect we would expect for ourselves and the people close to us.
Our values influence the choices we make, the way we communicate and how we approach support each day.
We recognise that every participant is different, so we shape support around individual needs, preferences and circumstances.
We act responsibly, follow through on what we say and take accountability for the quality of the support we provide.
We treat participants, families, communities and each other with respect, consideration and professionalism.
We value teamwork and clear communication so participants can access quality, affordable and reliable support.
